Size
The Later Han dynasty reached a size of 193051 sq. miles or 500,000 sq. km spanning Asia in 947 under Emperor Yindi
Rulers
The first ruler of the Han Dynasty was Liu Bang he became ruler when he defeated the troops of the Qin dynasty. When he began he was the son of a peasant.He revolted against the ruler of Qin. After defeating his greatest rival Xiangyu during a four-year war. though he began the Han Dynasty he only ruled for 12 years before he died. Before he died he made changes that are listed in the next topic changes. The forth ruler was Liu Heng; he was also the forth son of Liu Bang. During his time in power he lightened taxs and paid great importance to production which promoted the development of society. Also he was economical with regard to the government. The next ruler was Liu Heng son Liu Qi he carried out measures just like his father did when he ruled. He also tried to limit the power of the princes.This attempt end in a war and the make of a centralized government.
Changes
The Han rulers decided to make some changes to the thing that had been set in place by the previous dynasty the Qin. They changed legalism back to Confucianism the original religion based on government. Also made the family the most important thing in the Chinese society in stead of the emperor . They went to something know as Filial Piety where they were loyal to the male head of the household. But they kept the Qin's bureaucracy system where non-elected officials rule. Pmadlus they will keep the meritocracy where leaders are chosen based on skill and qualification. To determine who rule they did a civil service examination which is a written test to see who is the most qualified for the job.
Inventions
The Invention that were made during this dynasty was Paper for writing records, the seismograph for detecting t the made earthquakes. Next they made steel for blacksmith so they could make what was necessary for their job. After that they made the rudder which they used for traveling on the water also for direction and speed. Next they made the wheelbarrow so they could transport goods easier.
